Jandy Kim

Clinical Director

Jandy believes that healing from trauma is about far more than learning to manage its effects—it is about the possibility of post-traumatic growth. She is deeply committed to helping people move beyond survival, rediscover their strengths, and build lives shaped not by what has happened to them, but by the resilience, meaning, and hope they can create through healing. At the heart of her work is an unwavering belief that recovery is possible and that every person has the capacity to move forward.

This philosophy has guided Jandy’s career, which she has dedicated to entirely to trauma therapy. She has had the privilege of working alongside first responders, veterans, survivors of violence, and individuals who have experienced significant adversity. Witnessing the courage and resilience of her clients continues to inspire her work and reinforce her belief in the extraordinary capacity of people to heal.

Her therapeutic approach is anything but passive. Sessions are engaging, practical, heartfelt and often infused with humour — tailored carefully to the individual in front of her. Clients consistently speak to one thing above all else: they know she genuinely cares about them, and encouraged by her confidence in their capacity to heal and grow.

Jandy is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and a BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association (BCPFFA) Silver Seal Endorsed clinician. She provides treatment through WorkSafeBC’s Occupational Trauma Response and Mental Health Treatment Services programs, as well as the WorkBC-funded Survivors of Violence and Youth at Risk programs. She also brings extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced abuse, trauma, and other complex life challenges.

Jandy holds a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts in Family Sciences and Psychology from the University of British Columbia.
