Our Approach
At TOV Trauma Recovery Services, you will find genuine connection, compassionate care, and a team that truly believes healing is possible.
Unlike general counselling practices where trauma treatment is one service among many, trauma is our sole focus and our area of expertise. Every aspect of our clinic — our therapists, our support staff, our facilities, and our approach — has been built specifically around the needs of those who have experienced trauma. That specialization matters, and it is what sets us apart.
We offer evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy drawing from a broad and continually evolving range of proven approaches — including Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), among others. Rather than applying any single method rigidly, we integrate these fluidly alongside existential, humanistic, interpersonal, solution-focused, and strengths-based frameworks — always adapting to the unique needs of the person in front of us. Every element of our practice is shaped by one conviction: that with the right support, people don't just recover from trauma — they grow through it.

Individual Counselling
Working one-on-one, you will gain a deeper understanding of the physiological and psychological impacts of trauma, develop practical tools for managing its effects, and build the insight needed to move beyond surviving — toward genuine post-traumatic growth. Sessions are dynamic, tailored to you, and grounded in the belief that real, lasting change is possible.

Family and Couples Counselling
Trauma does not only live within the individual — it shapes the way we relate, communicate, and connect with those closest to us. In couples and family sessions, you will develop a deeper understanding of those impacts, build practical tools for navigating them together, and work toward not just repairing what has been strained, but growing into stronger, more resilient relationships. Because healing rarely happens in isolation, and real, lasting change is possible for the people you love most.

Consultation Services and Psycho-educational Workshops
Too many people are still suffering alone and in silence — not because help isn't possible, but because awareness, understanding, and access remain out of reach. Trauma in particular is widely misunderstood, and when left unaddressed, its effects ripple outward through individuals, families, and entire communities.
Through psycho-educational workshops, trauma-informed practice training, and resiliency programs, we bring the knowledge and tools directly to your organization, school, or community. Our goal is simple: to close the gap between suffering in silence and knowing that change is possible.
